As the fall
breeze passed me by,
I fell to the ground in exhaustion,
Beaten by the heated sun,
But I dare not let it win.
My loss came at
great expense,
And I couldn’t
quite keep up,
I fell below
harder than ever,
But their
volcano wouldn’t erupt.
My sorrow was
devoured,
Eating by the
leave’s shake,
Taking my pain
away slowly,
Taking my
troubling heartache.
The fall came
closer to me,
Begging to take
the lulling pain,
But I told him
no, I dare not,
And that’s when
it began to rain.
