The black leaves escaping,
The night swallowing the pearly stars,
The snow covering the meadow,
Bringing grief to the powerful czars,
As the night swallowed the lighted cars,
Pushing you unto the freezing horrid of a night,
The wind biting onto your thin pale skin,
Undoing your will of a great fight,
As you took in the cold beautiful sight,
You fought for a life undone,
One that could undo your pesky mistakes,
One that you thought you had won,
As your strength grew over a ton,
Your mind erased all that was chosen,
You fought that evil of a night,
You pushed the lion into it’s own den,
As the night became a nested hen,
You wondered how you’d be able to fly,
How you could bring upon the peace again,
When all you needed to do was try.
