Lightning's Rocking Chair:

The current silently still,
The rocks hushing the oncoming waves,
The water buries the lonely steeple,
But it couldn't cover your dark caves,

The seagulls beaconing your return,
Yet you only stood by,
The thunder ripped through your domain,
But the seagulls still preached to the sky,

The darkness came in with troops,
The sun gave way to the barricade,
The stars came blazing in,
But with great fear I had stayed,

The dark consumed the light,
My sight dull as the night,
Yet with my strong willed might,
He sent the light that was so bright.
