I am losing this fight,
But I dare not lose this war,
Slipping onto the brink,
Shaken to the bare core,
The world's chaos breaks through,
Begging the the fight to war on,
The ending nowhere within sight,
No angel to call upon,
The page turns methodically,
As the swords continue to entwine,
The enemies fall one by one,
As you continue to shine,
Burdens of the year's past wear onto your soul,
Mine crawls past all of the dead corpses,
We saw the light along the horizon,
Then came the burning ellipses.
It's funny how you reach a resolve and then all of a sudden the ground under your feet turns to sand and you slip back every time you try to move forward. The sky goes dark and there you are, fighting just to remember what your fighting for. You'll find your sun, maybe it's just hiding behind the clouds..
