The birds asleep in their nests,
Life was pleasant and beautiful,
Yet you wouldn't have guessed,
The mountains roaming the lands,
The peaks overshadowing the lake,
You held onto a pad and wondered,
You knew all that was at stake,
Your thoughts alike the hiding trees,
Reserved and not flown,
Yet you never knew the reality,
That in this you weren't alone,
The arms wrapped your sadness with a bow,
Tidying your mistakes with a dress,
Yet you threw it all away,
All for an unwanted mess,
The sky beautiful beyond compare,
Some unseeing this majestic sight,
You alone were the only one,
You could not see the light.
