The winter chill of the air brushed slowly on some nearby trees. The birds were long gone, probably the smarter of the bunch. I had awoken to goosebumps on my cold skin. And slightly irritated that Paul left the window open, again. But when I opened my eyes, I saw a different surprise. I was in the middle of a field, fully dressed and drenched. I wasn't in the sweet comfort of my own bed anymore. At least whoever; or whatever, happened gave me a coat, a scarf, and boots. I had previously haven't owned a pair since I was six. But these were the EXACT same pair that I had owned, but obviously larger.
Cars drive by as I was making myself to a warmer place, preferably with a fire. But I didn't get three miles before a lovely driver hit some slosh into my unprotected face, which in turn made me lose my balance and fall. And I fell, hard. At least the snow had caught my fall, and made me even wetter than I already was. If that was even possible.
"Jerk!"
I screamed directed at the driver, with no avail. My day was turning into an interesting one.
"What else could go wrong?"
I muttered to myself. But hasn't anyone told you the importance of never say or think that? Because it'll always prove you wrong. Next thing I know, I heard a growling coming behind me. Hoping it was just my stomach, I turned around. But nope, it was a wolf or a coyote. Whichever it was, it was hungry. Starving. And I looked like an oven roasted turkey.
