First I'd like to say something, before this animal decimates my body into shreds. One, what happened to the cool Arizona breeze of the desert? Two, how did I get fully dressed out of my pjs? Three, where the heck was I? Tons of questions. And the only thing intent on giving some answers, was this snarling of a beast. Well, looks like I'll have to survive if I even want to know.
The menace of a beast leaned closer, slowly creeping an inch closer with each protruding step of a paw. He was big, not humongous or anything. But he was frightening. Came up past my hip in height, and his snout looked to be almost two feet long. Teeth were white with a hint of flesh still stuck in between each tooth. His growl heightened with each beat my heart took. His hind legs crouched, ready to spring. His tail stiff, the spring ready to burst. Then a whistle came through the vague horizon. The wolf peered over it's shoulder, winced. And gave me a grave stare, before disappearing in a nearby forrest. I let out a sigh. But before I could fully relax. A man stepped out from a tree from the opposite direction as the wolf left. I almost leapt into the air. But was grounded by realizing that it was only a man, and a man alone. He took two steps closer to me. Smiled, and said in a feverish voice.
"You're welcome, lady."
Then he simply plopped onto the ground before I could thank the man.
