Moonlit Walkway:

The dark riding the moonlit sky,
Begging us to always wonder why,
Holding our breath firmly still,
Heaving our hearts outside the blank window sill,

The air crisp and solid,
Yet down we fell for what we did,
Screaming for a savior of mercy,
Yet nothing was all we could see,

The sky masking the truth,
Calling our freedoms from a barren toll booth,
Taking a page from their Holy book,
And accused us for hiding it behind our tiny nook,

Our faith held at gunpoint,
Our fears trembling throughout every joint,
Our fears misled behind the shadow,
But the future of our life we will not know.
