Renaissance Fair:

A tiny dove flew by on a crisp morning,
It knocked onto my window twice,
Without thinking knocked again,
It sat patiently looking for advice,

I took her in my cage of mine,
Carried her throughout the day,
Let her see through my own blistering eyes,
Just to see everything my way,

A faint cry asked about my dilemma,
How without dreams I was none,
How I was beaten, battered and alone,
While everyone sat basking in the brisk sun,

But I was born in the wrong era,
Girls like you discard my kind,
You take the ones that run,
And try to make them unwind.
