The cool calm air spoke softly,
I heard your grace from afar,
You creeped closer and closer,
Pulling closer with your car,
The wind quiet,
Aside from the singing song bird,
The tune lovely,
Yet I never once heard a word,
I stared at you,
Eyes locked,
You held my heart closely,
Harboring and briefly docked,
Your grip loose,
My heart floating from side to side,
Yet you saw me float off into the night,
And the rock and I began to collide,
The waves tearing into my skin,
The current overwhelming,
You jumped in to save me,
But sometimes life seldomly sings,
But you held on,
Holding onto my grim hope,
You pushed it all away,
And pulled my heart back with your titanium rope.
